Try to see the Chateau de Versailles!

Posted 1 year ago by avatar masako in response to musketeer's question: I intend to visit the Palace of Versailles. Can you give some details like what are the main visiting places and maybe something about the fees? Thank you. (give a different answer) .

The palace was built in the 17th century during the reign of Louis XIV the Sun King and was the seat of royal court for more than one century. The palace measures 580 m and has too many wings to be numbered. The grand halls and sumptuous chambers and the vast labyrinth gardens are all worth visiting. The palace entry fee varies with the season, from 20 euro in April to October to 14.50 in winter, and to visit the gardens it will cost 3 more euro in the warm season. Tickets can be bought at the A Entrance of the Palace at the right of the equestrian statue of King Louis. When I went to visit Versailles I booked a guided tour at the Office de Tourisme de Versailles for which I paid 8 euro.
