Maison Kammerzell, restaurant of Strasbourg

Posted 1 year ago by jhon in response to avatar blackjack's question: Where can I eat some traditional dishes of Strasbourg? I heard locals talking about sth like choucrou...not sure about the spelling (give a different answer) .

It's choucroute, a dish made with a loooooooot of meat, a peasant-style mixture of bacon, pork, potatoes, different kinds of sausages and sauerkraut. Go to the Maison Kammerzell on Place de la Cathedrale, nr 16! They run 3-course choucroute dinners for 38$ and provide 10 variations you can choose from. It was a merchant's house during 16th century.
