any fancy hotel in St. Emilion? I know it's more like a village and I don't want to arrive there and realize I don't have where to stay overnight...(give a different answer) .
On Route de Libourne, 2 km actually from St. Emilion there is a hotel that will suit your tastes, aristocratic and elegant. Chateau Grand Barrail has views over the vineyards and a restaurant with a fabulous wine list, most of all brought from the well known cellars of St. Emilion. Just don't drop there at harvest time, in September, as it's closed to the public, and prepare some 145$ for a room!
