fhonny's question:
Is it true that Chateaubriand was buried in Saint-Malo?(give a different answer) .
There are two islets, Le Grand Be and Le Petit Be, linked to St-Malo’s beaches by a concrete dike, which can be reached by foot once the tide rushes out. The tomb of the writer Chateaubriand is on the Ile de Grand Bé. If you want to get there go via the Porte des Bes. Make sure to check with the tide times at the tourist office (it is located on Esplanade St Vincent) because once the tide rushes in, the causeway remains uncrossable for almost six hours. Le Petit Bé houses a XVII fort, a visit to the fort is 4 euro.
