general's question: Where can I get information and maybe a map of Paris?(give a different answer) .
The Office de Tourisme et de Congres de Paris (Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau) located on 25-27 rue des Pyramides, will help you with information, maps, visit pass or joint tickets. It is opened Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm and Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm. You will find it easily by walking 500 m northwest from the Louvre museum.
