If you're interested in French art, visit the Musee d'Orsay, housed in a 1900 former train station, on 1 rue de la Legion d'Honneur. To get there take Rer train 7e or Musee d'Orsay metro. The museums displays France's national collection of paintings, sculptures and other art works dating from 1840 to 1914. On the ground floor you will find early works by Manet, Monet, Renoir and Pisarro and the upper level reached by a sky lit displays works by Impressionists: Monet, Renoir, Sisley, Degas, Manet, Post Impressionists: Gaugain, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Matisse. Entry fee 5 to 7 euro, first Sunday of the month free.
