The Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise is the world's most visited graveyard. It has 70 000 ornate tombs forming a sculpture garden. Among the people buried here are the famous Chopin, Moliere, Oscar Wilde, Balzac, Proust, Colette, Pissaro, Modigliani, Sarah Bernhardt, Delacroix, Edith Piaf. Most visited is the rock star, Jim Morrison's tomb, buried in division no. 6. If you want to visit take metro Philippe Auguste, Gambetta or Pere Lachaise. The cemetery is open for visits between 9 am to 5.30 pm.
