Cathedrale de Notre Dame of Paris

Posted 1 year ago by patrick in response to avatar jimmy's question: What can you tell me about the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris? Is it the biggest in France? (give a different answer) .

I don't know if it's the largest or tallest in France but when I last visited Paris I learned that the cathedral is the actual center of the city. Distances to every part in Paris are measured from the square located in front of the Cathedral, Place Notre Dame. There is a bronze star set in the pavement across the street from the main cathedral's entrance marking the Point Zero of French Roads. The cathedral itself is a Gothic architecture masterpiece built from 12th to 14 th century on what was once a Gallo-Roman temple.
