felicity8's question:
What can you tell me about the Arc de Triomphe in Paris? I don't know a lot about it.(give a different answer) .
It's the symbol of Napoleon's victories, when he managed to build the French Empire. The construction of the Triumphal Arch started in 1806, but it was stopped when the defeats began to pour. It was completed in 1836, and now it's proudly rising in the middle of the Charles de Gaulle Place. It's a touristic magnet, no doubt! Getting to the viewing platform costs 7 euros for adults, 4.50 for people aged 18-25, no charge for the others.
