I don't recommend the cemetery :) I guess it actually depends on how much you are willing to pay for a hotel room. I for instance got a room for about 130 E at a very nice hotel on rue Vaugirard called hotel Aviatic. It's one of the oldest hotels in town from what I heard, but it doesn't show it :)
