If you're a tourist and wanna get a feel of what southern French cuisine is all about, then I suggest you make a reservation for a table at the L'Olivier restaurant on place Garibaldi. This is one of the best typical restaurants in Nice, a place where you can have freshly baked bread and fish soup. Provencal cuisine at its best.
