general's question: There's a ski resort close to Chamonix that seems nice: Megeve. Anybody been there?(give a different answer) .
Yes, just 35 km away from Chamonix, in a joyful valley and bowing to Mont Blanc, is the Megeve resort. Snow is not present all over the season coz of the low altitude, but the alpine village is still appreciated by ski beginners. There's a ski school, and many of the sporty come back in warm times for hikes on the wooden terrain or 18-hole golf. The resort was set up by the Baronese de Rothschild especially for winter activities in 1920, her favourite being horse-drawn sleighing. U can try it too!
