What are the main sacred caves to visit in Lourdes?(give a different answer) .
The most famous is the Grotte de Massabielle (Cave of Apparitions), the one where Saint Bernadette experienced her visions. You can even see hundred of finger traces on the walls, and crowds of disabled people wishing for cures that queue at the entrance. Dating from the 19th century, the sanctuaries explored by pilgrims also include the Basilica of the Rosary,a neo-Byzantine church, with its crypt, and the Upper Basilica rising above it (this one is Gothic). Dress decently and be there before 10 at night in summer time or 7pm in winter!
