Hiking in Chamonix

Posted 1 year ago by sasha in response to avatar lizette's question: I want to explore on foot the mountains in Chamonix. Any settled routes? (give a different answer) .

First of all, buy a map and guide, all the routes are highlighted there. You have plenty maps to choose from at Photo Alpine Tairraz: Mountain Trail Map for 4 euros, ideal for short daytime hikes, The most Beautiful Hikes for Everyone, a booklet at the price of 4.50, for easy climbing. If you want some superb views of the Mont Blanc, just head to the Grand Balcon Sud, at around 2000m- the route starts from behind Le Brevent telecabine station.
