Calais, Musee des Beaux-Arts et de la Dentelle

If you’re interested about mechanized lacemaking go and see the Musee des Beaux-Arts et de la Dentelle (meaning the Museum of Fine Arts and Lace) located on 25 rue Richelieu. It displays also an interesting historic overview of lace and fashion as well as some art works including Rodin’s sculptures. The entry fee is 3 euro or 1.50 euro with a student discount. Visiting hours are from 10 am to 5.30 pm, with a break at noon, and a much shorter Sunday program.
